Biography

The son of the former Bootle and Everton goalkeeper 'Davie' Jardine, the young winger joined Wrexham after the First World War. His impressive performances soon attracted the attention of Everton and a transfer fee of £300 was agreed with the First Division side in October 1920.

Back then the Goodison Park club had a policy that all players had to reside in Liverpool and this stipulation eventually led to the deal breaking down. Jardine left Wrexham the following summer to join Colwyn Bay.
