Biography

Mark initially had a trial with Wrexham at the start of the 1983/84 season and he was offered schoolboy terms by the then Reserve Team Coach George McGowan. However Mark decided to sign for Burnley instead and played in their Lancashire League side but was released at the end of the season.

Mark then took the decision to continue his education and attended Chester College to study P.E. It was during that time that Dixie McNeil invited him back to the Racecourse for training on Thursday evenings.
