Caernarfon withdrew from the competition after 6 matches due to an ongoing dispute between the club and the Supporters' Club.

Prior to the start of the season officials announced that the club was pulling out of the league in an attempt "to shock the public into realising the damage done by the Supporters' Club to football in Caernarfon". When the Supporters' Club attempted to set up a caretaker committee to allow the club to continue the manager and players all left. This then allowed for the executive committee to review their position and they withdrew their resignation. Caernarfon eventually started the season 4 weeks late.

However, after just 6 games had been played the majority of the executive committee resigned their positions due to the ongoing dispute and this forced the club to withdraw from the league completly.
