Three goals inside the first fifteen minutes saw Wrexham's Colts extend their unbeaten run to four games and secure their first away win of the season in the process.
Wyn Hughes opened the scoring before an own goal from Rhyl right-back John Trevor doubled the lead. Doug Rowlands added a third against a hesitant home defence.
Charlie Hughes was a virtual spectator in the Wrexham goal although he was beaten near the end by an effort from the industrious Roger Riley.
