Match Report
Wrexham lodged a protest at the end of the game as it was found that one of the goalposts was five inches short of the required distance.
At a council meeting of the Welsh Football Associated held in Wrexham on Monday 11th February the match was declared "no Cup Tie" and was ordered to be replayed. Following evidence heard from both clubs and the referee the Council determed that rules 21 and 22 had been violated. Wrexham were also censured for playing even though they knew the goals were too narrow.
The rearranged game was scheduled for Saturday 2nd March with Mr F.E. Roberts of Ellesmere chosen as the referee.
