Match Report

This game followed on immediately after the Cammell Laird v Wrexham Reserves game. According to the preview in the Birkenhead & Cheshire Advertiser Cammell Laird and Lingdale were joint tennants of Park Road North.

Additionally, the report in the same paper of the Wirral Railway v. Wrexham Reserves Pyke Challenge Cup game on 6th Januray suggests that some halves this season were 35 minutes long noting: "Wrexham came out in their sodden shirts to do another 35." This would explain the two kick-off times of 2:30pm and 4:00pm.

Oswald Lewis missed a penalty in the second half with Wrexham trailing 0-1 at the time.
