Wrexham were drawn at home to Crewe in the 1st Round of the Division Three (North) Cup. A date for the game was never arranged due to the severe winter and government restrictions on playing midweek games. As far as we are aware no games were played in the competition that season.

The full draw was:
Tranmere Rovers v New Brighton
Wrexham v Crewe Alexandra
Southport v Barrow
York City v Darlington
Accrington Stanley v Halifax Town

Nine clubs were exempt until the 2nd Round by virtue of them having reached the 3rd Round of the FA Cup. These were Chester, Carlisle United, Doncaster Rovers, Gateshead, Hull City, Lincoln City, Rochdale, Rotherham United and Stockport County.

In addition, Bradford City, Hartlepool United and Oldham Athletic all received byes.
