Match postponed due to a number of Wrexham players having to self-isolate for COVID-19 related reasons.

The following statement appeared on the official website on July 22nd:

The match, at the Owls’ Middlewood Road training complex, was due to be manager Phil Parkinson’s first pre-season game since taking charge.

However, after a number of COVID-19-related absences in the Wrexham camp, we have taken the decision to cancel this Saturday’s match as we await the return of several players from isolation.

We would like to place on record our best wishes to all those affected, and thank Sheffield Wednesday for their understanding in this matter.

Our match at Burnley Under-23s on Wednesday (July 28) is unaffected, and we look forward to starting our pre-season preparations against the Clarets.
